Susanna Howe Biography

Born in Manila, Philippines in 1971, Susanna Howe earned an English degree from Barnard College in 1994. As a writer and photographer, Susanna split her time between New York and Los Angeles until she settled in New York in 2010.  In 2006, she began shooting hedges and has traveled far and wide in this pursuit. She has written a few books including (Sick) A Cultural History of Snowboarding in 1998, and published photographs in many magazines, including The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal Magazine, The New York Times Magazine and Town and Country, among others. Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally. She is represented by Sears-Peyton Gallery in New York and Los Angeles. She lives in New Rochelle, New York with her husband, two daughters and a dog named Pierre.
